The Social Interaction. Part 3.

The next thing we look at is the general public. Because as much power as they like to think they have, a leader is nothing without his followers. So let's look at the average person. Starting with present day America, the place and time I know best. Because of the lovely possession of free speech, Americans are very open with sharing their opinions about pretty much everything. Combine that with almost unlimited access to the internet which is full of social networks designed solely for opinion sharing and you can find out anyone's opinions with just a few clicks. So just what does the general opinion say? From first glance we can see a lot of hate. Enemies throw insults only to be bombarded with even more hurtful words. Low toleration for people who do not share our believes, skin color, or background are all around us. But if we look deeper, we see that people really do care. They just aren't the greatest at showing it. When sides are chosen, the easiest way to choose is those you have something in common with. Most of these unkind people aren't trying to be mean. They're just trying to protect their safety net. And perhaps they aren't doing so in the most productive or kindest way..But they are trying. So we see that underneath the masks of hate, most people are caring. But what leads people to this hate? And how does that affect society as a whole?

The Social Interaction. Part 2.

First we look at what our society is based on. As sad as it is to say, a large portion of our society is based upon what you have. Money, looks, friends, family lines. The more you have, the better you get along. This is how it's always been. The best hunters and farmers in old days, the better businessmen later. If you were good at something, you did better in society. You got more respect and lived a better life. End of story. Of course this does make sense in my mind. The harder you work, the more you get out of it. But where does logic end and injustice begin? Many people believe that these inequalities shouldn't even exist. That we should all just be equal. But as time has proven time and time again, someone always ends up taking power. It's human nature. And it's awful. But it can't be stopped. So there needs to be a limit to power. But there still needs to be someone in charge right? Someone to decide what a country, state, city, or family does as a group. If everyone did their own thing, we'd all have a pretty crappy life in the end. And even then, the better murderers and thieves would have better lives than the poor ones. Unequal society gone bad boy. Life in general would be bad. Eventually some kind soul would take pity and have a morality moment and shape the town back together. Only to take power and rule. Maybe he'd rule in goodness. But it's still a ruler. So that knocks out that plan. What about one with absolute rulers? One where you absolutely must be the very best in order to rule? Good idea. But then people get fed up with a cruel ruler. He fought for the position fair and square. But he doesn't care for the people. Another common problem that is most often seen in history with inherited thrones. A wonderful queen dies leaving her abusive son in charge. The golden age turns in to the dark years. And then there's the idea of democracy. The people vote for their favorite leader and if they don't like him then they can kick him out. But what's to stop him from straight up stealing power? And if he makes promises people still believe will be kept, sometimes they will let him stay in power even if he's ruining the country. And then there are other forms of leadership. Joint leaders and religious leadership are two examples that are also flimsy at times. Essentially what we learn is that it takes a very special sort of person to lead a society. And debates over who that person should be and what he should be doing lend as much of a part to our society as said leader's actions.

The Social Interaction. Part 1.

Hey guys. Me again.(:
So I'm writing this book. Or paper. Or something. On the human interaction. How it's changed over time, what it is today, and how it got to be that way. This has always fascinated me and I figured I might as well embrace that. I'm new to this whole thing so bear with me here.

The Social Interaction:
Society. Defined in the dictionary as "the body of human beings generally, associated or viewed as members of a community." But what does that really mean? And what differences are there between how different people view society? I mean obviously a rich man who is greatly benefited by society will speak better of it than someone who is hurt by society. But if we eliminate the biasing then we see a completely different side of things. We can see from a completely different angle all of the unfairness that occurs in our society and all of the brilliant ideas we incorporate. To begin, we look at the different levels of society. You have the children, the teens, the young adults, the old adults, the rich, the poor, the in between. People with all different beliefs and religions. Different views on everything. Politics in all forms affect us. No two people have the exact same opinions on everything. This is clear. So how do we sort it out? How do we go about looking at all of these different views? Well the simplest way is to avoid them for now. I would like to acknowledge that they exist. And assure you that I will get to them eventually. But I think the simplest way to begin with this is to give my own views.
And so we begin.
